Let Me Take a Selfie!

I know there is a lot of talk about "should guests take pictures at weddings" and some photographers can be pretty uptight about guests "getting in the way of their shot", but I say it's all just part of the fun! I became a photographer because I LOVE taking pictures of people. I love capturing those moments so how can I take that away from someone else? It's true all my couple's wedding images will be available online, but you cannot take away that satisfying feeling of wanting to catch something special yourself and just doing it!

My most recent wedding had a lot of international guests (the groom being one of them!) and that meant LOTS of guests who were excited to take their own pictures.  I love capturing those guests capturing the little moments that were special to them.  It's all part of the celebration and I enjoy keeping those sweet memories for my brides and grooms.  (I'm sure there are some great selfies in there!)

We have the bridesmaids seeing the bride for the first time all dressed up!

I had the chance to ride in the limo to the venue with the bridal party and caught this great shot of one in the bridal party taking a pic of the bride and her father.

I love the look on her face as she sees herself and her father together...

This cute couple was excited to make the long trip to America and had to take a selfie to commemorate during the ceremony.

We have the groom checking out his mom's handiwork in the picture she took of him and his new mother-in-law.

Even the bride got in on the fun and snapped this shot of her new handsome hubby and her grandmother.

We have the fantastic group selfie, duck-face and all!

We all know the joy of seeing someone do something silly AND CAPTURING it.  I love the groomsman laughing at the picture he took.

Sometimes you just can't wait to see the final images from the wedding photographer.  This groomsman wanted to see my handiwork right away.

All night long he couldn't stop making me laugh (even though most of what he said was in Italian, so I think it was funny ;-P)

Even the groom got in on a selfie!

How could anyone ever want people to stop taking pictures? I know I'll never want to stop!

I have realized that in unwanted cameras, extraordinary receptors help to focus automatically. The actual sensors associated with some surveillance cameras change in contrast, while others start using a beam associated with infra-red (IR) light, especially in low lighting. Higher specs cameras from time to time use a mix of both systems and may have Face Priority AF where the digital camera can ‘See’ any face while keeping your focus only in that. Thank you for sharing your thinking on this blog.
